Day 1: Setting Sail & Crossing to Cowes
Route: Departure Base → West Cowes (Isle of Wight)

Cast off in the morning, complete your yacht briefing, and head out into the main body of the Solent. Depending on your start point and the tide, enjoy a comfortable beat or run across the water towards the Isle of Wight.
Your destination for night one is West Cowes, the world’s most famous yachting town. Mooring up at Cowes Yacht Haven or Shepard's Marina, places you right in the heart of town. Sailing out toward the Needles Lighthouse provides breath-taking views of the Isle of Wight’s western tip. After capturing the view, tack back into the sheltered waters of Yarmouth.
