Privacy Policy & Terms Of Business

1. Clients must be 10 years old or over. Under 18`s must be accompanied by a parent or guardian taking part in a same event.

2. A £250.00 per event deposit must be paid when booking; with the balance paid at least 28 days prior to the start of the event. A booking is final when all payments have been made to Solent Boat Charters. 

3. Cancellation : In the case of cancellation, if insufficient notice is given as per details below in 3.1 - 3.3.

3.1 Cancellation of an event with 14 days or more notice from the event start date will receive a refund less a £10 admin fee.

3.2 Cancellation of a a event with less than 14 days notice from the event start date will receive a refund less £100 admin fee.

3.3 Cancellation of a a event with less than 3 days notice from the event start date will receive a refund less £250 admin fee.

4. If, for any reason under our control Solent Boat Charters is unable to offer the confirmed event we will refund the deposit and any balance paid. Solent Boat Charters will not be responsible for any other costs including accommodation or transportation.

4.1 Solent Boat Charters is not responsible for event cancellation due to poor weather, but a full refund will be issued.

5. All clients must not be under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs at any time. Smoking is not permitted in the marina or on board any charter vessels.

6. Clients should ensure that they are physically able to take part in the event and must signed a fitness declaration prior to the event. Any pre-existing medical conditions must be declared at the time of booking. Details of any medication being taken must be recorded on the booking form and the Instructor must also be informed at the time of boarding. Failure to comply with this clause will invalidate any claim against Solent Boat Charters arising from any medical complaint not previously disclosed.

7. Clients must comply with reasonable instructions of Solent Boat Charters staff at all times throughout the event. The decision of any Solent Boat Charters staff is final.

8. Solent Boat Charters, its servants, agents and employees are not under any liability, whatsoever in respect of personal injury, loss or damage to personal effects howsoever caused whilst attending a Solent Boat Charters event. It is recommended that clients take out their own travel insurance.

9. Any complaints must be made in writing within 28 days from the completion or cancellation of the event, complaints received after this date will be invalid.

10. Clients should not attend if knowing carrying any infectious diseases, under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Event fees will be not be refunded in these cases.

11. Solent Boat Charters provide charter services only.

12. Limitation : Any claim arising from or in connection with this Agreement to be brought by one party against the other shall be brought within six months of the completion date of the event or delivery, failing which such claims shall be time barred.

13. Severance : The invalidity in whole or in part of any clause in this Agreement shall not affect the validity of the remainder of such clause or this Agreement.

14. Law & Jurisdiction : This agreement shall be governed by and construed in all respects in accordance with the Laws of England and shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.

15. Newsletter Terms & Conditions : By subscribing to our newsletter when placing an order you agree to receive email from us. The aim of our newsletter service is to keep our customers and visitors updated about new events or new service offerings. The subscription to our newsletter service is not mandatory.

16. Solent Boat Charters will not sell or pass on any client information unless requested by official governing bodies such as the Police or MCA (Maritime & Coast Guard Agency).
